The Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) is pleased to invite you to a hybrid briefing on the relations between the Palestinian and Israeli economies prepared for the AHLC meetings

During these semi-annual meetings, the donor countries for the Palestinian Authority and international organizations discuss the economic and fiscal conditions of the West Bank and Gaza and pledge support for the PA.

The INSS briefing adds an Israeli angle to the discussion, and complements the IMF and World Bank reports by focusing on Palestinian-Israeli economic relations, Israeli economic policies, and their implications for Palestinian growth and fiscal stability.

Dr. Haggay Etkes, a senior research fellow at INSS, focuses on the economic relations between Israel and the Palestinians. Dr. Etkes was in charge on the relations with the Palestinian economy at the Bank of Israel and served as the representative of Israel at the IMF. He currently working with Prof. Wifag Adnan (NYU-Abu Dhabi) on a multi-year project on Palestinian employment in Israel.

Prof. Esteban Klor is a senior research fellow at INSS, and the Rosita Herczeg Professor of Economics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.  Prof. Klor specializes in systematic studies of the interaction between terrorism, counterterrorism, and their effect on the population’s political preferences. His studies have been published in

 world leading journals on economics and political science.
